Power Hour Recap: Integrations & new features coming to MySchoolBucks

Blog Header Power Hour Recap

Our most recent Power Hour webinar dove into the exciting world of integrations and what’s new in MySchoolBucks. Drew and Troy shared valuable insight into the latest developments and what you can look forward to in the upcoming months.

Integrations (2:05)

Drew Izzio, Manager of Account Management, started the webinar by reviewing MySchoolBucks integration capabilities.  For schools using PowerSchool, Drew covered information about our plug-in that gives parents an easy way to view balances, see invoices, and make payments in their PowerSchool parent portal. The plug-in also allows parents to use single sign-on, so they can have one login for both their PowerSchool and MySchoolBucks accounts. For administrators, he reviews how this integration helps to streamline the process of assigning fees to groups of students, making it easier for your district staff.

What’s New (35:30)

Troy Jones, Senior Product Manager, joined to review some newer features you can see within MySchoolBucks. Firstly, he highlighted a brand-new feature, that is currently in beta use only, that allows you to create promo codes for Store products. He also shared how you can now set up outstanding invoice reminders to help collect on fees that remain unpaid. With these reminders, you'll be able to track analytics to see how they are performing. These analytics will show you how many emails went out, how many people clicked the email, and how many payments were made after receiving the reminder.

Troy also discussed the brand-new features introduced in the recent MySchoolBucks release  (46:18), highlighting some of the new features you can expect to see, such as the added ability to share reports. With this update, you’re able to share a report you created, rather than someone having to recreate it on their own to see the results in their dashboard. Now, you'll be able to search for users within your district in the MySchoolBucks dashboard and share it with them. Troy also touched on the new ability to invoice student groups. With this, you can create a student group using student numbers or import a CSV of student numbers.
