"In 2023, our district adopted Genesis as our Student Information System. Since 2015, we've used MySchoolBucks for lunch payments and some other fees, but its usage was limited due to lack of full integration with our previous SIS. To streamline the management of student fees directly within Genesis, we collaborated with both organizations to develop a two-way fee integration. This integration automates the collection and synchronization of fee and payment data between the two applications.

Previously, parents could only pay fees and fines via cash or check, which was inconvenient. We needed to offer a credit card payment option, and thanks to the flexibility of Genesis and MySchoolBucks, we achieved this. This summer, we successfully launched the integration, allowing us to collect not only school lunch fees but also sports and Chromebook fees through a seamless two-way sync.

The support from both companies was outstanding. We worked closely with David Sponheimer from Genesis and Carmin Zoccali from the MySchoolBucks Development Team. Their assistance has enabled us to enhance our platform, making it easier for parents and staff to process all necessary payments efficiently for our district".
