There’s been a lot going on in MSB Tickets over the last few months! If you haven’t gotten a chance to check out these new updates and features, take a look below to see what you may have missed.
Venue points of interest
You now have the ability to add Points of Interest to your venue layouts! A Point of Interest is a specific area of an event that would be helpful for ticket-buyers to know the location of, like the location of the stage, field, ASL Interpreter or other key areas. Point of Interest can be assigned a label, icon, and shape that will be displayed within your Venue map. This is a great way to help ensure fans can pick seats that will provide them with their best viewing experience!
Daily ticket sale email notifications
Get ticket sale details sent right to your inbox! With this feature, admins can identify email addresses that should receive an email with details on daily ticket sales. This is a great way for event staff to monitor sales to see how many attendees there will be or if tickets are running low.
Purchase Season Passes in person through the Box Office
Season Passes can now be purchased in person through the box office. Previously, these could only be bought online. Having the option to buy them in person allows more people to get involved and get tickets for the whole season.
Add web forms to your Season Passes
Web forms can now be assigned to season passes when purchased online. This means you can have attendees fill out additional information when buying tickets. The form could be as simple as prompting the purchaser to add their name and phone number, or it could be used to collect other information, such as T-shirt size.
To do so, start by creating a Web Form under Events > Web Forms, or you can use an existing web form created in MSB Tickets. While managing and creating a season pass, you can select a web form under the "Details" section of the Season Pass. Once you have chosen a web form for your season pass, a setting will appear to control how the web form will be presented within the season pass cart. By default, the web form fields will display for each individual ticket within the cart. Alternatively, if you would like to collect information once for the entire cart (instead of per ticket), toggle the "Web Form Per Ticket" setting off.
Ability to offer same-day refunds
The ability to offer same-day refunds has now been added! It’s important to note that with this feature, same-day refunds will include the entire order and result in the order being canceled.
Enhanced QR Code visibility
An update was made to improve the placement and increase the QR code size within the Tickets PDF. This update was a suggestion from one of our MSB Tickets districts to help expedite the event check-in and ticket redemption process.
Access Codes for ticket sales
This is an exciting update from the MSB Tickets team—access codes are currently in Beta! Admins will be able to configure the event ticket pricing option visibility to “Access Code Only” and set a number of access codes to generate and relay to the appropriate parties.
Admin view
For example, students in a district are limited to 5 tickets for their family and friends for graduation. The admin can set tickets up to be “Access Code Only” visibility, set the number of access codes to generate, then download the list of Access Codes. The admin can then distribute access codes accordingly outside of MSB Tickets. In this example, they could provide 5 unique access codes to each student. This would prevent individuals from purchasing more tickets than what is allowed, and help regulate who has access to purchasing a specific ticket for an event, and how many they are allowed to purchase.
Parent view
Students with an access code can enter their code within the Event to reveal the pricing option associated with that code. Access codes will be displayed on the ticket, ticket detail report, redemption report, and admin order management pages. If you’re interested in being part of this test group, contact your account manager to learn how to get involved and try out this new feature before it’s live!
