This week, we released new features in MySchoolBucks to help you and your parents succeed in the 2023-2024 school year. Here's a recap:
Parent Invites
Thousands of parents take advantage of the benefits of MySchoolBucks every year. MySchoolBucks accounts are free for parents to set up so they can monitor what their students are eating, fill their student meal accounts, make purchases from the school store, and so much more. In this release, we added a new feature in an effort to help your district encourage more parents to sign up for a free MySchoolBucks account.
From the Students page, you can choose to send an invite to create a MySchoolBucks account to the email address on file for one or multiple student accounts. Invitations will only be sent if the contact email on file is not currently associated with a MySchoolBucks account. When a parent chooses to sign up for an account through the invite email, they will be taken to the MySchoolBucks account signup page.
Try it out: The New Store Layout
The MySchooolBucks Team has been working on a new School Store Layout for parents to help them more easily navigate store products. This feature is available for any MySchoolBucks customers to try as an early adopter by sending a request to louis.jones@e-hps.com.
Here are a few things you can expect with the new Store Layout:
- 'Featured Items' and Store Announcements are displayed at the top of the store's webpage to provide quicker access to popular store items and communication
- Store search and filtering options have been improved, such as product/store availability - so that parents have access to purchase the products they need
- Product display has improved to reduce page scrolling and include product pricing

Coming Soon: Enable/Disable Course Fees
Before the 2024-2025 school year, the MySchoolBucks Team will introduce the ability to enable or disable Course Fees. This feature will be a Status toggle available for every existing Course Fee that will determine whether a specific Course Fee can be used. This is especially handy for those Course Fees that are no longer relevant or in use - so you can ensure that a Course Fee will not be assessed in error.
Important: Please note that only the Status toggle will be available with this release, and any status set for individual Course Fees will not be considered until a future MySchoolBucks release.
In the meantime, you can use the Status toggle to set the status of individual course fees in preparation for the Start of School. Stay tuned for future updates to this feature!
