Over the last 23 years, Greenville County Schools in South Carolina has hosted their annual Greenville County Schools (GCS) Scholarship Tournament. The event brings in hundreds of participants to raise scholarship money for high school seniors. Since its inception, the tournament has raised over $550,000 in scholarship funds to help over 4,000 graduating seniors. In the last few years the tournament has partnered with MySchoolBucks to help collect registrations and payments online.  

"MySchoolBucks has helped us improve our Greenville County Schools Scholarship Golf Tournament by providing participants with payment options combined with easy sign-up" said Teri Brinkman, Executive Director of Strategic Communications and Engagement.

"Instead of relying on a signup sheet and the delivery of a paper check, participants are now able to sign-up and pay in a matter of seconds. This not only helped golf tournament participants, it streamlined the organizational process and helped reduce our paperwork."

Prior to partnering with MySchoolBucks, cash and check were the only methods of payment. Now participants can register and pay online or from their mobile phone. In addition to the GCS Scholarship Golf Tournament, the use of MySchoolBucks has helped the district better manage lunch payments and student fees.
